Aim
This prize draw is running to raise money for urgent structural repairs to our radio ship 'Ross Revenge' in dry dock to secure her future
The Prize
Our Crowdfunder Draw Prize is for a superb, detailed model of our former pirate radio ship Ross Revenge, which is still broadcasting regularly today.
The model shows Ross Revenge with her original 300ft mast, which collapsed into the sea during a heavy storm on 24/25 November 1987. The mast had been severely weakened a few weeks earlier during the infamous hurricane of 15/16 October.
The signage on the aft deck is the original identity ‘LA CAROLINE 319’. An added detail is a figure on the deck, a tribute to the late DJ Dave Foster, wearing his familiar hi-vis jacket. Dave was a regular presenter on Ross Revenge from April 1987 until his passing in August 2024.
The model sits on a separate black plinth with the words ‘MV. ROSS REVENGE’
