Our ‘Warm Spaces’ initiative in our Accrington, Blackpool, and Burnley centres works to ensure that we support vulnerable women in the community by offering them a warm place to go where they can access our range of services from Mental Health and Wellbeing Support to Money, Debt and Energy Advice.
We currently have Tea & Toast drop ins where our clients can access a safe, heated space with the opportunity to grab toast and a cuppa while being able to chat to our frontline staff who can arrange additional support. For any clients with immediate desperate needs, we also have emergency food and toiletries provision in centres. Our new energy advice team can arrange home visits where energy-saving measures (e.g., draught excluders, energy-saving light bulbs) can be implemented free of charge. Additionally, our money advice team can also provide free budgeting packs with tips around meal prep, bills, and extra support for which they may be eligible.
Like many others are experiencing, our energy bills are at an all-time high and so to continue to run these warm spaces we are looking for support through this Crowdfunder. By supporting this project, you will allow us to maintain heating these ‘Warm Spaces’.
Thank you for supporting Lancashire Women – we couldn’t do it without you!
