Lanark Rugby Club - Lifesaving Defibrillator

Aim: Lanark Rugby Club - Community Based, Crowd Funded, Life Saving Defibrillator

Let us tell you a very recent and true story!  A young woman and friend of the club was exercising in a local gym, she felt unwell whilst on the treadmill, she stopped and almost immediately collapsed and went into Cardiac Arrest.  Fortunately the gym had a portable defibrillator onsite and quick action by all undoubtedly saved this womans life!

Lanark Rugby Club is located at Lanark Racecourse and we have on a rare occassion found even the Emergency Services struggling to find us!  These seconds and minutes in such a similar event as to the one above can be the very difference between life and death.  Lanark Racecourse has facilities that are well used by Rugby, Football and Hockey players and supporters of all ages from 4yrs-81yrs.

Our clubhouse will provide access for all these groups, their visiting teams, supporters and visitors to Lanark Racecourse to this vital piece of lifesaving equipment.  We are a Community Club and this Equipment whilst its hoped is never required, will prove its worth should it ever be required.
