Aim

Help LAMPS return to the Edinburgh Fringe for year 2! And right into the heart of things...

Thank you for your interest

We are so excited to be bringing our work to EdFringe 2026, the second Fringe for us as a company! Our run last year was extremely well received and we are looking to build on that. We hope our shows will be a blessing to everyone who sees them, and provoke thought and discussion for a long time after August.

A New Adventure

We are overwhelmed at the generosity of Edinburgh locals, particularly our other venue - Palmerston Place Church - in helping us get to the Fringe. But we are stepping out in faith this year, having hired a seperate secular venue right at the heart of the Fringe for one of our shows, The Passion. We hope and pray this will make our show as accessible as possible to a diverse audience - who may be less familiar with the stories we explore than regular churchgoers. This, however, represents an additional and significant financial outgoing - one of the reasons we're running a Crowdfunder this year also. There are also costs  to cover like accommodation, travel, and publicity. Your donation will help LAMPS cover these. If we cover these expenses, any additional funds will help us honour the time and skills of our professional cast and crew.

The Passion

The life, death and resurrection of Jesus are recreated in this moving, memorable and ultimately joyful retelling of the Easter story. Told from the perspectives of Peter, Mary Magdalene and a Roman centurion named Marcus, this powerful contemporary drama leads us up to and through the events of Holy Week, to the cross and beyond.

‘A life-changing experience for me and my understanding of the scriptures… Like many others no doubt I shed a tear or two.’ - St James the Great, Radley

“Brilliant conception, direction, music and performance!”

“The story of The Passion as I’d never seen it before. Impacting and memorable”

- Filling Station, Cholsey

Salt and Light

Lake Galilee, AD 31748884486_2.png0, and in the little fishing community of Capernaum, rumours of miracles and healings abound. Five members of one family struggle to make sense of the radical new teacher walking their shores. Who is this man? What is he? And what might it mean for them and their lives?Join us around the campfire for shanties, stories and spoken word – the tales of the first disciples.

“Beautiful collection of stories – each one leading into the next in a way that was seamless and meaningful – OUTSTANDING!” Audience member, Spring Harvest

The LAMPS Collective

The LAMPS Collective is a group of professional writers, actors, and musicians whose Christian faith underpins their lives and work. LAMPS productions seek to inspire, challenge, and entertain. To provoke thought about the nature of God and life. To resource the church, refresh its members, and reach out beyond its walls.

LAMPS is an acronym which stands for Love, Acting, Music, Poetry and Stories – all things close to our hearts!
