We're still collecting donations
On the 20th April 2023 we'd raised £541 with 45 supporters in 69 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

On the 20th April 2023 we'd raised £541 with 45 supporters in 69 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
The extra money will help us to organise the making of satellites that would provide us and many other sources with data from sea and land, and sending these using good space technology.
We are a small team of local, experienced weather enthusiasts lead by a qualified meteorologist who are knowledgeable, highly regarded and well recognised for giving up to date, accurate weather information as a voluntary organisation called Kernow Weather Team.
We have kept our main aim of being a community page, even as we continue to grow. Taking pride in responding and supporting all our followers and treating them as family.
We publish accurate forecasts, radars and warnings.
Live data from our weather station sited in Illogan, Cornwall,
Educational posts and world weather events.
We are already relied upon by our community which includes many media outlets, such as Pirate FM, BBC Radio Cornwall, Heart Cornwall, Newquay Radio, the Chaos Group, Sky news, BBC Spotlight and ITV Westcountry. We have recently become a registered Community Interest Company (CIC) and are currently looking to move forward in order to provide our followers with better, more accurate information, teaching our generations about weather and how what the effects of of our ever changing climate as well as how we can help reduce and slow the process.
We wish to be able to obtain our own data from Satellites to Buoys that will provide us with Sea Temperatures, Wave Heights, Air Temperatures, Air Pressures, Wind Speeds, water quality, seagrass growth or decline etc.
Educate our communities using the data obtained, to understand what weather is, why and how it's affecting our world by presenting documents and videos and discussing these within a variety of educational settings.
We would like to sustain our business in the future and have several ideas to achieve this by selling appropriate merchandise through affiliates and an Ecommerce website, selling speciality weather forecasting, which if we could obtain other supporting data (land and sea) via satellite links to the likes of fishermen, farmers, emergency services, external workers and really anyone who relies on weather for their livelihood's.
Our Facebook Page is our testimony of the work we have achieved and our progression throughout the 6 years we have been voluntary running.
We have reviews, comments and messages all showing support of KWT.
In order to achieve this we would require materials and equipment that can sustain the incoming and outgoing data and a base to work from.
