KVGCC fundraiser for PCIT ( Parkinson’s Centre )

Aim

Parkinson’s Centre for Integrated Therapy is Kent Velo Girl’s charity of the year and we are helping raise money for their new neurogym .

PCIT is a Kent based charity offering pioneering treatment , research and education for people living with Parkinson’s disease . They have just been awarded a  grant of £7500 by Sport England but this is conditional on PCIT matching and raising an equal amount through their Crowdfunding platform . This money will go towards their neurogym   - a dedicated space offering tailored exercise therapy proven to reduce symptoms , enhance mobility and improve quality of life. Support will help buy a spin bike, treadmill with hoist, a wheelchair stepper , agility ladders, weights and kettlebells. Exercise is one of the most effective tools in managing Parkinson’s Disease - it helps manage symptoms, improve motor function and slow disease progression . The expansion of the neurogym will make a huge difference .
