We're still collecting donations
On the 22nd October 2023 we'd raised £25,154 with 151 supporters in 47 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

On the 22nd October 2023 we'd raised £25,154 with 151 supporters in 47 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
The injection of much needed funds will enable Kenilworth RFC to continue operating as a viable sports club, and able to invest in the infrastructure and facilities associated with rugby and the other local sports clubs who use them e.g. archery, running, football.
Founded in 1924, Kenilworth Rugby Club provides rugby playing opportunities for men, women, boys and girls and we pride ourselves on being a rugby club for the benefit of the whole community.
The Rugby Club is already the largest membership organisation in the town, and has a growing presence in the community. Our Community Pledge drives all that we do.
KRFC Community Pledge
• We believe in investing in the community
• We do this by instilling positive core values in our people
• We do this through the sport of Rugby Union.
Better People, Better Players - ‘More than the Game'
Community Hosting / Events
Kenilworth RFC host several other community clubs and events including Royal Leamington Spa Archery Society, Leek Wootton Football Club, PSA Testing, Jazz Club, Warwickshire Vintage Motorcycle Club to name a few. These clubs use our pitches, club house and function room as part of their operations bringing hundreds of non rugby club members to KRFC.
KENFEST is Kenilworth’s beer and music festival, held at Kenilworth RFC on the first May bank holiday weekend annually. The newly established 2023 festival saw 2,500 people from the town and surrounding areas come together to enjoy the best beer and live music entertainment. The festival raised an impressive £4,000 for the benefitting charity, The Myton Hospices.
Like many other organisations, our club is being hugely hit by the price increases relating to the cost of living crisis including soaring energy costs. Compounding this we recently suffered from some large and unexpected costs for equipment and electrical repairs to make the club safe for our staff, our members and community partners. The bill for urgent remedial works has come to approximately £30k (ex. VAT) and we are in need of financial support to ensure that we continue to survive and offer rugby and community sports.
Our fundraising target is £20,000, with a stretch target of £30,000 and the funds raised will be spent on key areas of the Club so that everyone can continue to enjoy the facilities in a warm, friendly and safe environment. Essential items to be funded include pitch / ground repairs, coaching and first aid courses for our volunteers, travel costs to allow our senior teams to compete in national leagues, electricity costs associated with heating and lighting our facilities (it is impractical to move to greener energy alternatives given we plan to be moving in 2 seasons time) and decorating / refurbishment of our club function room (to help drive revenue generation in events).
With both an exciting new facility on the horizon, and our centenary plans starting to emerge your contribution, large or small will provide real value to KRFC and be essential in ensuring a sustainable club, able to continue to develop and give back to the community in which we sit. On behalf of all the boys, girls, men and women of KRFC, and those that benefit from all that we do in the community, I thank you for your support.
We also have Sport England agreed to support the campaign if we reach our target. So, please give generously!!
