Aim

We aim to raise $3500 to produce 2,000 food aid packets to help feed vulnerable community members affected by COVID19 on Koh Tao, Thailand

I spent most my twenties on a small island in the Gulf of Thailand called Koh Tao. It was the most influential period of my life and I still see Tao as my home. The people there helped me become the man I am today.

This tiny little rock is a diving and backpacking paradise that sees thousands of people visit and fall in love with the idyllic island annually and is home to one of the most kind and supportive communities I have ever known.

However, COVID has seen the global tourism industry grind to a halt. Like many places, tourism is the economic backbone of Koh Tao and without it the entire community is struggling.

With hotels empty, dive boats motionless and the bars eerily quiet there is no work for the poorest members of this community who are truly struggling to feed their families. There are several thousand who can't afford to feed themselves, or their children, and cannot afford to go elsewhere - especially with COVID related travel restrictions.

A collective of wondeful business owners have banded together to help the local authorities manage the situation and produce food packets to feed these people.

Just 55 baht ($1.75) can produce a packet to feed a family for a couple of days!

In USA, UK and Grand Cayman that is the price of a beer. You can't even get a buzz off that!

Instead, I ask if you could get your buzz from feeding a family for a day. Even if you only donate $1.75 you will make a massive difference.

This is one of the few times in life where a little goes a long way.

My aim is to raise $3,500 which is enough to produce 2,000 food packets!
