Kneecaps
'Kneecaps' by Joe Hunter. A Moot Point Collective Production, in association with Framework Theatre Company.
We are absolutely delighted to be bringing 'Kneecaps' by Joe Hunter to the Assembly Roxy this July. We are raising funds to allow us to cover costs such as hiring actors, paying our creative team, hiring a venue, buying materials and marketing costs. This will be Moot Point Collective's first professional in-person project and we are so excited for it to kick off!
We can't wait to platform Joe's writing as an incredibly exciting emerging playwright.
We'd really appreciate any spare change you can offer to help us make this production a success! If you can't donate right now, please share this page with your friends and keep your eyes peeled for other ways we'll be fundraising!
This production will be Associate Produced by Framework Theatre Company, continuing their support from their facilitation of the digital development of the script last year.
About the Show
Ali & Jess have recently broken up, and are dealing with their own problems. However, when a peculiar and life-threatening epidemic forces them together for the first time since their split, unresolved issues with religion, identity, morality, addiction and each other are well and truly unearthed. Kneecaps is a surreal dark comedy that asks the question ‘how do we love ourselves as queer people when the world is designed to encourage the opposite?’
