At KiteNest we're very passionate about two things: 

1) Creating 100% natural and sustainable cosmetics; free from all those nasties like palm oil, parabens, and animal testing. 

2) Becoming a completely zero-waste and carbon-neutral company, using only natural and sustainable packaging materials.

Already, we’ve worked hard to ensure that all of our products and packaging are 100% zero-waste and 100% natural - all except for the lids of our Organic Dry Shampoo. Made from recyclable plastic, it has been a long and tough search in finding a sustainable alternative. But alas, we've finally found an alternative to plastic caps, made from plants (oh how we live plants!).  The only set back is that the creators of these lids require a minimum order of 15,000 lids and tubes! As a small, family-run company, placing such a large order is completely out of our grasp. 

That's why we need your help!

By pledging to this campaign, you'll be replacing our plastic lids with a natural plant-based alternative, making plastic a thing of the past at KiteNest. Will you help us take this plastic-free jump?

Who is KiteNest? KiteNest is a family-run company based in Lincoln and is juggled between our full-time jobs, children and allotment attending. We are: Chris (founder), Markus (founder), Emma (communication & PR).  Starting our KiteNest mission in 2015, we’ve built our own workshop (KNHQ) in Chris’ garden, where all of our products and ideas come alive. We have control over everything we do, ensuring that we’re cruelty-free and as carbon neutral as possible. 

What if you Exceed your Target? Happy times! If you help us to exceed our target we can become a 100% vegan business too. If we hit £8,000 we will reformulate all of our existing recipes and re-certify ourselves as a fully vegan business. Who doesn’t want health and beauty products loaded entirely with plant power? 

Why Didn't You Just Get a Bank Loan? Why benefit a bank when we can benefit you! This way, only you (and planet earth) will reap the rewards of us going plastic- free. We don’t want a bank loan, not knowing where the money has come from or where the interest they get from us is being reinvested. With crowdfunding, the rewards go back into your hands and also help you with your plastic-free journeys. 

What Happens if you Don't Reach Your Goal? If we do not reach our goal and are unable to bridge the gap to source the plant fibre lids then every pledger of £13 or more will receive a KiteNest Gift Voucher for the full amount of their pledge e.g. £20 pledge = £20 KiteNest Gift Voucher.
