Kingsbridge Climate Action (KCA) is a group of people who live in and around Kingsbridge who are concerned about the future of the town, the people who live here now and will in the future, and the environment of the town (its buildings, open spaces and its estuary) - as well as the wider world!
Climate Change, caused particularly by too much Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere, is real and happening with serious consequences. 2024 was the hottest year so far for the planet and more and more (and bigger and bigger) fires and floods (and sea level rise) around the world are being recognised by scientists as having been caused by Climate Change.
One of many things we can do is help plant more trees, because they are the ultimate Carbon capture machines and great for wildlife. So we thought that it would be wonderful if we could arrange the planting of 6,000 trees, one tree planted for each person and business in Kingsbridge.
If we can raise £3,600, we can afford the planting of these 6,000 trees, in countries like Peru (see photo), Uganda and Madagascar, by working with Ecologi (www.ecologi.co.uk) who can do this for us, for our town and for our planet Earth.
Please help us and let’s do it.
