Aim
to help us continue our essential services and prepare for what is hoped to be our last move
Kingsbridge Area Food Bank supports those in need in 26 parishes and 2 towns in the South Hams, that’s a population of over 25,000. As early as 2018 some 18% of South Hams children were classed as living in food poverty. Recent weeks show we are delivering to some 155 households, some 219 adults and 200 children – some 6%. In addition to the local food donation stations in places like Tesco and Morrisons, we need to spend around £10 per head per week – you do the maths!
On top of that, we need to find permanent premises from which to operate, possibly within the next 6 months.
