Aim
We’re building a food truck to sell seasonal food to fund our community goals - support local food, local people, and real sustainability.
🌱 WHO WE ARE
We’re KindRoots Collective — a grassroots food and wildcraft organisation working between Yorkshire and Staffordshire. What began as a passion for foraging, seasonal cooking, and ethical living has grown into a mission to bring people together through good food, shared spaces, and community-led events.
We create wild-inspired foods and drinks, run free community markets, and support small local businesses by offering fee-free spaces where makers can flourish. Our pop-up street food project, the KindRoots Kitchen, serves affordable, seasonal meals using local and wild ingredients — and it’s quickly becoming the heart of what we do.
Now, we’re ready to take the next step.
🚚 WHY WE NEED A FOOD TRUCK
To grow our impact, reach more people, and create reliable income that supports our community work, we need a dedicated food truck/trailer.
A mobile kitchen will allow us to:
Serve affordable, seasonal meals at more locations - currently we are limited to hiring spaces that already have a kitchen we can use.
Fund more free community markets that support small local businesses
Expand into new areas across Yorkshire and Staffordshire
Build a financially sustainable foundation for our long-term mission
Offer more opportunities for workshops, community meals, and gatherings
This isn’t just a vehicle — it’s the tool that will let us grow into the organisation we’re working hard to become.
💛 WHAT WE’VE ACHIEVED SO FAR
Built a growing product line of wild-inspired foods and natural pantry items such as our much loved Mugolio.
Successfully launched the KindRoots Kitchen pop-up food project.
Reached on average £600 per month in online sales across Etsy, eBay, and our website.
Successfully hosted multiple free community markets funded by the kitchen and the sale of our products.
Built relationships with local small businesses, artists, and growers.
All of this has been achieved with minimal resources — just determination, creativity, and a commitment to community.

Your support will help us purchase and equip a fully functional food truck, including:
A high-quality second-hand trailer or van
Fridges, burners, grills, and prep equipment
Water and waste systems
Generator and power solutions
Branding, signage, and fit-out
