Raising money for Women v Cancer, CALM and Taylor Made Dreams by cycling from Mount Kilimanjaro to the Tanzanian coast
Total Target: £10 per km - £4,500
Offline sponsorship so far: £215
Corporate sponsorship: Huge thanks to Quealy & Co for sponsoring my last day with a £500 donation.
Total raised so far: £1,590
So those who know me, know I don't do cycling..... well, that's got to change!
I've signed up to the Women v Cancer cycle which covers roughly 450km in 5 days from Mount Kilimanjaro to the coast.
The ride starts in the foothills of Kili and travels through remote villages, across mountain passes, along dust tracks and thankfully over a few flatter plains before reaching the Indian Ocean coast.
The terrain is described as rural roads, dirt tracks, hill climbs and coastal trails 😬. The event has a difficulty rating of "Challenging - Suitable for Women with a good cycle fitness" 🤣🤣. Looks like I've got some work to do!
As well as supporting Women v Cancer, I have decided to up the sponsorship target and raise money for CALM - a suicide prevention charity, in memory of my nephew Alexander and Taylor Made Dreams - a charity enabling children with living limiting illnesses to achieve their dreams.
Taylor Made Dreams was introduced to me by a client who lost their son when he was just 10 years old. They set out on a campaign called Journey for Josh which later linked with TMD.

“Ideas and actions to carry Josh’s name, character, and smile into the future so that even those who didn’t know him, will know of him”
The three charities all do incredible work which sadly has come closer to home than anyone would wish for! Any donation you can make to support these great causes will be well received, and encourage me to keep on pedalling!!
