With the club, and the amount of cricket being played, growing every year we're raising money to replace our outdated grounds equipment.
Ketteringham Hall Cricket Club was first founded in 1991 and moved to our home on the picturesque grounds of Ketteringham Hall in 2006. The club now has two mixed hardball Saturday teams, one mixed hardball Sunday team and for 2024 a ladies softball team. Plans are also in place to launch a youth section for the 2025 season. In addition through our partnerships with the local community, the ground is also home for a midweek adult hardball team, a local university team and has been home to a local school for their girls cricket.

The club relies on volunteers giving up countless hours to prepare the ground for use by all of those teams. The two walk behind mowers in particular are extremely dated, they no longer meet the requirements of the club and they are reaching an age where they will require fairly expensive repairs to keep them going. Therefore a decision has been made in order to assist the volunteer grounds team, and to improve the quality of pitches prepared, that the two mowers should be replaced with more modern machines.

We will use the full £6,500 toward two walk behind mowers. One wider cassette based mower that can be fitted with a brush as well as a cutting cylinder that will be used for cutting our entire square and one finer mower for cutting out the individual playing strips.
Every person who plays at our ground in the future will benefit from the improved pitches that this new machinery will provide. Whether that be members of Ketteringham Hall Cricket Club, our partner clubs and schools/universities or opposition players. As the club grows to include a female softball team and then from next year a youth section the number of people who will benefit is only set to increase exponentially.

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
