We want to Raise funds for a memorial bench for Kenneth McNeil
Kenneth McNeil was a committed peace activist for more than 70 years. He joined Scottish CND in 1958 when it was formed, and was secretary in 1961. Founder member of Peace Education Scotland. Sharp as a tack into his mid-nineties.
Oh, and a lovely bloke.
His comrades and the residents of Faslane Peace Camp, want to put a bench dedicated to him at the peace garden in the camp. Kenneth would hate the fuss, so we have chosen a no-frills industrial strength bench from an outdoor furniture maker in Garelochhead. Should we collect more that the £200 required, we will give the remainder to the Peace Education Scotland, where Kenneth was a founder and supporter in the final years of a life dedicated to peace.
