Aim: Kench Hill Needs Your Help! We are raising funds for a new bus for our primary school beach & countryside trips, creating lifelong memories!
What if you could open up a whole new world for a child?
For over 40 years, the Kench Hill Charity has done just that.
We offer children from the London borough of Hackney and local Kent schools the chance to explore nature, grow in confidence and build lifelong memories through outdoor learning.
Our hub is Kench Hill, a Georgian house nestled in the Kent countryside. It’s at once a peaceful haven and an inspirational environment.
We run residential trips where children experience woodland hikes, archery, orienteering and building shelters.
For many, it’s their first outing to the countryside – their first time seeing farm animals, paddling in a stream or even going to the beach.
A vital part of our work is making these adventures possible for all children, including children in care, young carers and children with special educational needs and disabilities ('SEND').
We urgently need your help.
Our trusty minibus is past retirement age. Without it, we can’t collect children from the train station, or take them to castles, forests and beaches — which are the heart of their experience.
That’s why we are fundraising for a new one. And we’d love your support.
Any donation big or small will help us to reach our goal so please support however you can! Show your support for what we do with a small donation or a larger donor donation.

Thank you for considering being part of this. It means so much — not just to us, but to the children whose lives are changed by their time at Kench Hill.
Warmly,
The Kench Hill Team
