Kelly-Lee needs to get her life back!

Aim

Hello mates! The aim of this crowdfunder is so I can get a safe car which I will need for work when I’m better.

On 25/07/2022, I was sat stationary at traffic lights chatting to my mate and waiting for the lights to change, when a transit van didn’t stop and went in to the back of us at 60mph. This caused a 4 car pile up. I was unconscious straight away. My friend managed to get out the car and call emergency services.The fire service had to cut me out the car and I was rushed to hospital going in and out of consciousness and in a lot of pain.

Lucky to be alive. Lucky to not be paralysed. I was covered in lacerations, severe bruises, broken nose, cheekbone, severe whiplash where I haven’t been able to turn my head, neck and shoulders which is still going on etc but the impact of my head being hit and first forwards and then backwards gave me a brain injury. I spoke really slow and stuttered. (Think Ozzy Osbourne with a Cockney accent.) I have physiotherapy, counselling for depression/PTSD and speech therapy. My speech is getting better but when I get tired, my brain shuts down and I can’t talk. I still have a headache 24/7.

I am getting better though and I will recover with help and time. I want to be gardening and working down The Forum again (my second home) being around live music and friends. I just want my life and health back. I’m going to need a car though. I’ll need one that I feel safe in. I’m thinking a small SUV type. Now I’ve got a couple of grand from my car insurance but I need about 3 more to get a decent one with a year’s MOT and a few month’s warranty. This is where you guys come in. I don’t like to ask for anything. I’m not good at asking for help or loans ever. I am an independent bird that just gets on with it but I can’t save up money whilst I’m not working and I need a car to work. So please, pretty please mates, just chuck a tenner in or any thing you can afford so I will have a car when I’m better and can have my life back. I’ll love you forever.
