Cherishers is a trusted, community-focused organisation dedicated to supporting vulnerable individuals, including the elderly, disabled, and socially isolated. Our team of compassionate carers and volunteers provides physical, emotional, and practical support to empower individuals and improve their quality of life.
We address the challenges of digital financial management, supporting those affected by local bank closures or unfamiliar with internet banking. Many clients feel panicked by these changes, but as trusted carers, we offer reassurance and practical help with financial tasks. To combat digital poverty, we provide tablets and training to help people stay connected to loved ones and essential services.
Our services extend beyond financial support. We offer a warm room where people can gather in a safe, welcoming environment to socialise, reducing isolation and supporting mental well-being. In addition, we provide well-being and educational classes, helping individuals build confidence, learn new skills, and foster connections.
Our vision is to create an inclusive, connected community where no one feels left behind. The funds we raise will expand these initiatives, ensuring individuals have access to financial support, warm spaces, and life-enhancing opportunities. By addressing these needs, we empower people with the tools to build resilience, independence, and stronger community bonds.
Cherishers aims to improve the well-being of vulnerable individuals, including the elderly, disabled, and socially isolated, in Rugeley and nearby rural areas. By addressing barriers, we enable access to our arts, sports, and well-being classes, fostering confidence, independence, and social connections. Informed by extensive community engagement, our services reduce isolation, support unpaid carers, and build a more inclusive, connected, and resilient community.
Cherishers understands the urgent need for digital financial skills as local bank closures and digital poverty create barriers for vulnerable individuals. Many clients, panicked by internet banking, rely on our trusted carers for guidance in managing finances and accessing essential services. By providing tablets and training, we empower them to connect with loved ones, communicate effectively, and navigate an increasingly digital world.
