Aim

We need your support to raise urgent funds to Keep the Mill Wheels Turning at Talgarth Mill.

For over four centuries Talgarth Mill has stood beside the River Ennig.

Today, it remains one of only five working watermills in Wales and the only working watermill in Bannau Brycheiniog.  We welcome visitors, support local businesses, provide educational experiences and keep traditional milling skills alive.

Now, we need your help.

Talgarth Mill is run solely by volunteers: directors, millers, baggers and gardeners, for the benefit of the community and visitors.

Running an historic watermill is a constant financial challenge. The waterwheel, machinery, millrace and historic building all require regular maintenance and repairs. Without ongoing care, this unique part of our heritage, could be lost.

Currently the waterwheel has stopped turning and needs urgent repairs.

Every donation, no matter how large or small, will make a real difference. Your support will help ensure that the wheel turns, the stones keep grinding, and the community and visitors alike, can continue to experience a living piece of Welsh history.

This isn't just about preserving an old building: it's about protecting a working mill that brings people together, celebrates traditional skills, supports the local economy and keeps an important chapter of Welsh heritage alive.

With your help, Talgarth Mill can continue to inspire visitors, educate future generations, and remain a place where history is not just remembered—but experienced.

Our Crowdfunder launches on Wednesday 30th September.

Please donate today and help us keep Talgarth Mill wheels turning.

Our Promise:

Every pound raised will be used to support the maintenance, conservation and operation of Talgarth Mill.

Together, we can keep the wheels turning at Talgarth Mill.
