Lala (Saman Anwar) is a Kurdish refugee from Iraq, he is a husband, step-dad, uncle, grandad, friend, community volunteer, neighbour - Lala belongs here!

After fleeing from persecution against Kurdish Iraqi's he has been here in Britain for over 20 years fighting for his right to remain. He has built a family here as a husband, step father and grandad. Now he has been detained and is in Colnbrook immigration prison, booked onto a charter flight with other Kurdish refugees, facing forced deportation to Iraq on 31 May. These controversial charter flights often unlawfully deport people with ongoing legal cases whilst companies like Monarch airlines and Titan airlines profit from private Home Office contracts.

Lala has got a barrister putting in a fresh claim for his case, however such legal action is often costly and we are racing against the clock- please help us to raise money to cover his legal costs and share this fundraiser
