Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful

RCN 102973, Belfast

Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful (KNIB) is an independent charity established in 2000. We work across Northern Ireland to create a world where people and nature thrive. Through education, engagement and empowerment, we work with schools, the wider community and businesses. We believe, that by working together, everyone can enjoy a beautiful, resilient and healthy environment.

Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful

Live Here Love Here is a positive, people-powered campaign that encourages volunteers to appreciate and care for their local areas through regular clean-ups, biodiversity and community gardening projects. Some of the key programmes in Live Here Love Here are Adopt a Spot, The BIG Spring Clean and Healthy Oceans, Healthy Minds.

KNIB's Environmental Education work focuses on educating children, young people, communities and businesses on environmental issues and inspiring climate action. This includes Eco-Schools, Carbon Literacy Training and the 30 Under 30 Northern Ireland Climate Change Makers programmes.

Finally, our Local Environmental Quality work recognises and rewards well managed green and blue spaces across Northern Ireland, particularly through the Green Flag for Parks, Blue Flag for Beaches and Marinas, and Seaside Awards.

Your support funds our essential, non-income generating work—like education programmes, awareness campaigns, and on-the-ground community efforts. It also helps unlock match-funding, multiplying the impact of every pound donated.
