We are aiming to replace the barriers around our field to make it a safe area to play again

We're still collecting donations

On the 22nd September 2022 we'd raised £15,000 with 77 supporters in 63 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

 New stretch target

the cost to replace is £18500. If we can achieve our goal, we have a small astro pitch, which is used by many in the community, that needs side boards replacing and new football and basketball nets. That is our next target

WHO ARE WE

We are a community football club comprising of four senior sides and four junior/mini sides, aged from 5 to 50. Based in the heart of the Garw valley, Bridgend, competing in various leagues. We were formed in 1951, with the junior teams formed in 2002. The senior and junior clubs merged in 2020 in order to take on the asset transfer from Bridgend council, which we are still trying to achieve

Community impact

Our facilities are not just football related. The local primary school often uses it for their sports days and their summer fetes. Families come and relax on Summer days knowing the children are playing in a safe environment. Firework displays are held for the whole community to enjoy. There are band days for everyone to come together. It really is the hub of the whole community

Why are we crowdfunding?

Due to vandalism, storms and poor installation, our barriers around the field have become unsafe and unplayable. Leagues are looking at whether they will allow our home games to continue here. Unfortunately, it is something, as a club, we simply cannot afford. Repairing them is out of the question as so many have been bent and pulled out of the ground. we have been fundraising, but the costs are still out of our reach.

How we’ll spend the money raised

Our aim is to replace the barriers and make the pitch safe and playable and hopefully improve the play area for the community
