In Katie’s memory, campaigning to end the misuse of civil courts as a means of economic abuse and stalking
In April 2022, our family suffered the devastating loss of Katie, who was murdered by her former partner. Since then, we have been determined that Katie’s legacy should create positive change and help protect others from experiencing the abuse and injustice that she faced.
Through Katie’s Campaign, we are working to raise awareness of how civil court processes can be misused by perpetrators as a tool to continue economic abuse, harassment, intimidation and stalking of victims. While many people recognise domestic abuse in its physical form, fewer understand how legal systems can sometimes be weaponised to maintain control long after a relationship has ended.
Our vision is to campaign for meaningful reform that better protects victims and prevents perpetrators from exploiting civil court procedures to continue abusive behaviour. We want to work with survivors, legal professionals, policymakers and support organisations to highlight these issues and advocate for change.
The funds raised will allow us to take Katie’s message across the country, engage with decision-makers, attend meetings and events, and build a professional campaign capable of creating lasting impact.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps us continue Katie’s legacy and push for reforms that could protect future victims from further abuse through the civil justice system.
Together, we can turn tragedy into change.
