Well, that was a wild ride! Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who donated.
In 6 weeks, we pulled off a completely people powered campaign in a constituency that’s been Tory since 1800. Every house received a leaflet, a small team worked tirelessly throughout, and I came 6th out of the 8 candidates, ahead of the SDP candidate and the other indie. We’ve since spoken and agreed to work together next time as he has a fabulous skills set and similar principles and values to me.
And the most important thing here is that this is not over. We’ve created a movement here in West Suffolk, and we’ll continue to build on it.

To be frank, Britain is broken, UK politics are broken and people feel disengaged, apathetic and seriously lacking in hope. In fact, people are angry. It’s my hope that if we all come together we can create meaningful change and make a difference ourselves.
We have an unfair two party system with zero choice, and I don’t believe anyone is going to change it for us. As a former Town Councillor, my knowledge and experience is plentiful. I believe people are entitled to a choice, not just more of the same with a different coloured rosette.
Please support me to stand for West Suffolk in the GE later this year. My professional background is in addiction, domestic abuse and i’m a single mum to two boys. I understand what it is to struggle, to overcome difficulties and I don’t accept that this is as good as it’s going to get. I believe in a fairer society, treating all fellow humans with respect, respect for our environment, that no one in this Country should be hungry.
This coming election brings the chance to do things differently.
