I'm running in one of the key seats in Scotland. I’m already out campaigning with my team but your donations can help get the message out!
Scottish Labour can win here and we must win here as too many people in our communities are struggling. I would love to represent the community I live in, work in and am raising my family in.
Last July we delivered a Labour government in the UK. We have delivered all the powers and all the money that the Scottish government needs to change lives. Now we need to send Scottish Labour MSPs to Holyrood who want to deliver that change.
To win I need to raise money to send leaflets to every household and to send ads to every social media feed.
I know how to win here, having led the team that turned Edinburgh East and Musselburgh RED last year. I can energise and motivate people to come out and campaign but I need help to resource it.
I’m incredibly grateful for every penny and it will all go towards direct contact with key voters across Edinburgh Eastern, Musselburgh and Tranent.
Thank you
Katherine Sangster and Edinburgh Eastern CLP
Rules
Edinburgh Eastern Musselburgh and Tranent CLP may contact you using the information you supply in order to discharge their legal responsibilities to ensure donations are from permissible sources. Donations to meet the costs of candidate election expenses are regulated by the Representation of the People Act 1983 and the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000. By making a donation to this campaign I understand and accept the following:
- I am donating to the Edinburgh Eastern,Musselburgh and Tranent Constituency Labour Party.
- I must use my own funds to make a donation to the Labour Party.
- If I donate more than £500, checks will be made to ensure my name is listed on the UK electoral register (excluding the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man). Any single donations of £500 or under are not regulated donations under electoral law, and therefore the donor would not be required to be on the UK Electoral Register.
- If I donate more than £2,230 to a Constituency Labour Party or more than £11,180 to the national Labour Party in a calendar year, my name and the amount of the donation will be published on the Electoral Commission's website, although my home address will not be made public.
- If I am making a donation of more than £50 during the short campaign (the period after the election has been called), checks will be made to ensure my name is included on the UK electoral register (excluding the Isle of Man and Channel Islands which are not permissible sources). My name and the amount I have donated will be included in the candidate return submitted after the election.
- Donations are not tax-deductible.
- This information will be available for public inspection on request, although my home address will not be made public.
This donation facility is provided for individuals to make donations to the Edinburgh Eastern, Musselburgh and Tranent CLP. UK companies, limited liability partnerships, trade unions and unincorporated associations may also make donations. Please contact the CLP at for more information.
*Permissibility checks will be carried out on individual donors in compliance with the rules laid out by the Electoral Commission on donations in election campaigns. You will be contacted by the Edinburgh Eastern Secretary to obtain this information. Donor details may be published.*
