Your support makes a difference
KSAN connects frontline responders across crises to share knowledge, build solidarity, and fund community-led action.
At the heart of Karama's work is a simple belief: the future of humanitarian response must be locally led, rooted in dignity, and built through solidarity.
Too often, local responders are treated as temporary stopgaps instead of being recognised as legitimate, effective and dignified forms of humanitarian response. It seems the people closest to crisis remain the furthest from funding, decision-making and visibility.
Within our network decision-making sits with the members themselves, grounded in the knowledge, relationships and experiences of those directly responding to crisis.
This funding will help with the following:
• Provide flexible direct funding to local responders and mutual aid groups sustaining community-led responses in crisis contexts.
• Fund collaborative solidarity projects between groups across different contexts to share solutions, tools, and strategies.
• Build peer-to-peer learning spaces where local responders can exchange practical knowledge, political analysis, and psychosocial support.
• Strengthen advocacy and communications led by network members to shift public and humanitarian narratives toward locally led response.
