Kantos are a trailblazing vocal ensemble, based in the North of England.
Our vision is to enrich lives by using our voices to tell universal stories and share human connection. Our mission is to make high-quality music that evokes reaction, inspires reflection, and causes change. Our approach is people-led. We ask questions, collaborate with open minds, and respect but challenge traditions.
'In your dreams' is our debut album and takes a deep dive into what happens when we close our eyes. Journey through improvised soundscapes, poetry, and choral music by composers including Eric Whitacre, Laura Mvula, Vaughan Williams, and a new commission by Kristina Arakelyan to unveil the hidden landscapes of our dreams and the mysteries of the subconscious mind.
We cannot wait to record our first disc and be able to share our programme with new audiences!
