Early work of utopian fiction by W.J. Saunders, out of print since publication in 1911. Medwayish Books will republish the book in 2028.
W. J. "Jack" Saunders (1873-1928) known as "The Silent Postman" was a working class writer and postal worker from Rochester. A self-taught polyglot Saunders remained active in the local labour movement until his early death.
Published in 1911, "Kalomera: The Story of a Remarkable Community" is the travelogue of the narrator who whilst walking through the hills of an unknown country in an unspecified time, chances upon Kalomera, a socialist utopia. Where he is invited to stay and explore the community.

Published before the creation of the U.S.S.R and before the publication of 'Brave New World', 'Animal Farm' and 'The Ragged-Trousered Philanthropists'.
Medwayish Books will be republishing the book in 2028, the centenary of the authors death.
Money raised from the crowdfunder will be used for the production, printing and promotion of the book.
Any excess money raised through crowdfunding or the future sales of the book will go towards the creation of a new fund towards supporting working class writers of Medway.
