We are raising money to support women facing coercive control from abusive ex-partners. Building confidence through counselling and advice.
Financial abuse is a way in which ex-partners attempt to control women by not paying child support, disputing mortgage payments or debts.
Mums In Need will fund a number of financial advice workshops throughout the year with the potential to provide our mums with dedicated 1 to 1 support if necessary. Financial stability and independence can be difficult to achieve after a relationship break up and doubly so when someone is actively trying to sabotage you. A dedicated financial advisor who is experienced with these types of cases can advise on debts, child maintenance and disputes over property.
