The Club...
Farnsfield Cricket Club has been at the heart of the community since 1817. The club welcomes all ages and abilities from junior kwik cricketers through to seniors. Supported by a team of enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers who create year-round opportunities and events but are now feeling the devastating consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic that is ruining what should have been a thriving year.
Net-a-thon...
Now, the junior cricketers are stepping up to help their club! Inspired by the club ethos, they are willing to do whatever it takes to help FCC survive. Their motivation and passion for cricket needs to be seized and what better way to do it than a Junior Net-a-thon. Hardball players from the U11s, U13s and U15s, will net using the bowling machine, take part in fielding drills and also have the chance to bowl at their coaches to help raise vital funds to keep the future of cricket at FCC alive. Can the juniors take on the Net-a-thon challenge?
*Sunday 30th August 2020 at Farnsfield Cricket Club* *U11s/U13s 9:30am-12:30pm and U15s 1pm-3:30pm*
^^Farnsfield's U11 players getting ready to take on the bowling machine! ^^
((Parts of the Net-a-thon will be streamed on Facebook and available to watch on farnsfield_cricket_club_ Instagram page. There will be the opportunity for parents to spectate providing all Covid-19 rules are strictly followed.))
Please consider donating, however small, by sponsoring a player in person or online, for their devoted efforts and for their love of cricket and their club. Everyone at FCC whole-heartedly appreciates all of your support during these difficult times and can't thank you enough.
NB in the event of rain which would stop play, the players will walk between the two clubs, Farnsfield and Edingley and complete a 'catch your coach' challenge.
