I’d like to record each show of our Scottish summer tour 2026 to create a live recording, taking highlights from each unique concert.
Our Scottish tour 2026 is a special one - it represents over 25 years of being a professional musician, and it’s 21 years since the launch of my first album mar a tha mo chridhe (as my heart is). We have a special live show planned, including music from across that time period, including songs never recorded before, plus new material also. With support from crowdfunder, we hope to include some special guests and capture some additional footage along the way to share with supporters from all over the world - all from here, at home, in Scotland.
I love studio recording and creating music in a concentrated and focussed way - but live performance is an entirely different thing. It’s about the shared energy in the room, that feeling of being a live show and the idea that every single night is unique - those are the feelings I’d love to capture through this run of shows.

During our recent tours in the US and in the UK, I received so many requests for an album that represents the live show, in particular to include some songs we perform which do not currently exist in a digital or physical recording.
Having support to make this happen would not only allow the project to get off the ground, but would expand the options of what could be possible on this ambitious Scottish tour.
If we had some additional financial support, we would invite some special guests and create some brand new collaborative material for these shows.

I’m currently also writing a new studio album, plus am working on several other collaborative projects - the multi-tasking and management of different projects in a musician’s life is very real, and support for this live studio album would be so appreciated.
I understand not everyone can consider contributing, but thank you for reading - and share the campaign with your friends if you can!
Love
