Josh and Abbie fundraiser

We are showing our support by donating to celebrate such a lovely, wonderful couple!

If you’re friends or family of Josh Baines and Abbie Shaw then you’ll know how difficult the past few years have been.

The 25th of May 2020 was meant to be the day Josh and Abbie tied the knot, but as we all know, the pandemic hit which meant they had to cancel plans quite suddenly. However, they took this all in stride amidst all of the uncertainty and I’m sure you will all remember how well they dealt with everything.

COVID brought struggles for us all but in true Josh and Abbie style, they had the added challenge of not only starting a gym business which included renovating the building over the summer, but also buying and moving into their first house, which needed renovating itself. Words truly don’t do justice how crazy their summer was; working to transform the Atrium Health Club from 6am - 1am for 3 months straight.

Josh and Abbie were able to finally find a new wedding date, 20th December 2021, which worked well with them being able to have a well deserved break from the Atrium. However, as everybody knows, in what felt like a cruel turn of events, they both tested positive for COVID a couple of days before the wedding. This meant that the wedding had to be cancelled very suddenly.

However, as expected, they both dealt with this huge disappointment with humility and grace. Since the original date of their wedding, they have been to around 8 weddings, many of which they have been bridesmaid or best man at.

They are such brilliant friends to so many of us and we would love to be able to bless them in some way! Josh and Abbie are hoping to get married soon. We, as their friends and families, would love to bless them with a financial gift. We are all so excited to celebrate such a lovely wonderful couple. So please donate and spread the word (but keep this quiet from the couple obviously).
