I am running a marathon

Aim

Raising money to help TLC buy a car for homeless people to learn to drive and have more job opportunities.

TLC Outreach Projects is a non-profit, welfare organisation which helps ex-offenders, homeless and destitute youth at risk in and around the Table View area, South Africa. Giving them a second chance at life. 

They run 11 month skills development programmes in the community to empower people through life-skills, employment opportunities and aim to provide support to those dealing with mental illnesses, addictive behaviour, abuse and similar challenges.

They have recently just graduated 15 homeless people with their learners license and are hoping to raise enough money to buy a small car for them to practice with in order to get their full drivers license. 

In 2015 I worked with them - helping young adults write their CV's, apply for jobs, re-connect people with families, organise food donations, initiated art projects, helped run a sports day event and formed amazing connections.

I will be running the Gothenburg Marathon in September 2023, I am not a runner so this has been a massive challenge already, but to raise money for a good cause and an organisation which does nothing but give back, gives me that extra push to see it through. Every little helps, so please help me help them - lets give them a second chance at life. x
