⭐️⭐️Let’s run the London Marathon for my Dad!⭐️⭐️

I can’t believe I’m actually saying this, but I’ve got a place in the London Marathon in April 2026!!

You never really know what life is going to throw at you. We all picture how our future might look, but sometimes things don’t turn out the way we imagined. Almost two years ago, my dad was diagnosed with the life changing brain disease that is Alzheimer’s, at the young age 63. Just 63!! So so young! Some of you may already know, but as a family we’ve been navigating this privately, and it has truly been the toughest two years of our lives. I don’t know what our future will look like, but right now we’re focusing on enjoying the good days, making memories together, and supporting each other as best we can.

So, in true Jord fashion, the mindset is: let’s run 26.2 miles and raise a whole lot of money! I know this will be the most challenging thing I’ve ever done, both physically and mentally. Training through the winter, running around different time zones, trying to smash out 30km on a treadmill in the middle of Africa, of course it’s not going to be easy. But I’m doing this for my family, for my dad, and for everyone who has been affected by this cruel disease. I promise I’ll give everything I’ve got in training, so that when April comes, I can run my heart out.

Let’s go and raise as much money as we can and pray for the day when we can finally beat this awful disease. Every donation, big or small, will help fund vital research, support families like mine, and bring us one step closer to a future without Alzheimer’s. I pray one day that this is the case!!

Thank you so much,

Jord xxx

Ps. If anyone wants to do any training runs together, I would love it! ✨
