Aim

To fund and expand our dominoes events as well as our next production run whilst we remain family-run and an independently owned brand.

This is what Kromanti Rum is all about — joy, community, and unapologetic celebration. From the spotlight at Be Inclusive Hospitality to dominoes nights in Brixton, we’re building more than a rum brand — we’re building a movement.

Kromanti Rum is connects our community to its past, grounding us in the present, and inviting the world to learn the stories of the Caribbean.

At our regular dominoes nights, we honour our elders and ancestors with libations, laughter, and storytelling. For those seeking an experience that is both exceptional and meaningful, Kromanti Rum is more than a drink—it’s a legacy in a glass.

Our lore starts with Kromanti Kojo and Julien Fedon on the spice isle of Grenada in the late 18th century.

Together, they inspired Grenada’s rebels to seize control of the plantations they were forced to work on, and established a Maroon community at the island’s centre.

This rebellious spirit sits at the heart of everything we do!

Early on in our journey, we interviewed our elders over rum, asking about their migration story. Check out the videos here

Meet the Founders - Father and Daughter duo Cashain and Danielle

Cashain David

For decades, Cashain served the community, setting up mental health services across the UK. His work centred on identity and belonging, whilst advocating for the rights of the Black Community— themes that continue to guide everything Kromanti stands for today. Cashain brings the heart, cultural authenticity, and a lifetime of community dedication to Kromanti.

Danielle David

Before Kromanti, Danielle spent 12 years in the shipping industry, working in big data sales, market analysis, and technology. She travelled the world building client relationships and growing her network — experience she now channels into building Kromanti’s reach and business strategy. Danielle brings grit, global perspective, and sharp commercial instincts to the brand.

Noted for our award winning and category first Tamarind Spiced Rum in 2020 and the first Plantain Infused Golden Rum in 2024. These flavours tell the story of the diaspora—ingredients that travelled across oceans to become Caribbean staples. We honour the spice isle of Grenada with a little sprinkling of nutmeg in our products, too.

Kromanti Rum is a premium spirit with a purpose: crafted with meticulous care, layered with notes of tropical fruit and spice, and rooted in ancestral memory. Beyond taste, we are committed to social responsibility, cultural storytelling, and building spaces for authentic connection.
