Join the challenge against COVID passes!

Dear friends, 

The Government has announced this evening that Covid passes will not be made a legal requirement within the UK!

This was a David and Goliath fight, and this is an incredible achievement - thanks to every single one of you for supporting us and contributing to this mammoth campaign. 

We all want to be safe and free. Covid passes promised us neither safety nor freedom.

With your support, we wrote to every single MP, we sent them evidence, we published a report and sent a copy to every parliamentarian, we gave oral and written evidence to parliamentary committees, and we recruited 79 MPs to stand against Covid passes. We hired a team of human rights lawyers, we conducted a rapid rights analysis, and we were all over the airwaves and newspapers. And we won!

Just think: this could have been so different. The authoritarians wanted to issue us all with health IDs and demand Covid passes at all sorts of events, businesses and workplaces - demanding to pry into our medical data for modern segregation - despite, as one parliamentary committee recently said, "no convincing scientific case". And they very nearly did it.

Incredibly, we have won the fight against Covid passes - for now. But the fight isn't over. 

Boris Johnson said this evening that businesses can "make use" of the Covid pass on the NHS app if they choose to. This risks a free-for-all where some businesses and events might require our medical data for entry. 

I say, we vote with our feet. We will identify companies that choose to demand Covid passes, let you know who they are, and boycott them.

Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty. 

We will be watching very closely over the coming weeks and months to keep the checkpoint society at bay. And we will use funds from this campaign to maintain the wall of opposition to Covid passes - including taking legal action, if we need to in the future.

Our freedom is under attack on so many fronts - from the Police Bill anti-protest laws, to new censorship laws, mandatory vaccine laws for certain workers, growing surveillance and emergency police powers that have led to hundreds of unlawful prosecutions. 

Our fight back is only as strong as the support you give us.
