Antony Weeks and RACE:FACE are fielding a car in the RenaultSport UK Clio Cup at Brands Hatch whilst raising funds for The Grand Appeal.
At the age of nearly 3 years old, Antony Weeks required urgent medical assistance from the experienced paediatric doctors, surgeons and health care professionals at Bristol Children's Hospital to remove a septic cyst from under his right arm that led to septicemia. Without the skills, knowledge and experience of these specialists Antony would not be here today and since then, Antony has dreamed of combining his passion for Motorsport with fundraising for The Grand Appeal, the charity that supports Bristol Children's Hospital.
Antony is the founder of the RACE:FACE concept - a non-profit initiative designed to create interactive fundraising and awareness Motorsport campaigns for UK charities whilst fielding talented but underfunded drivers into competitive Motorsport championships.
To launch, we're working with Team Cooksport to try and field Antony himself in a branded Grand Appeal race car in the televised (ITV4) RenaultSport UK Clio Cup Championship for the final round at Brands Hatch supporting the BTCC on 10/11 October. But to do this, we need the help of Motorsport fans and supporters and businesses to raise the entry fees, vehicle hire and fundraising target for The Grand Appeal.
This is where you come in - but we don't just need your financial support - we want your involvement with the initiative too!
This project is the beginning of an entire series of campaigns so your support is vital in our growth and development moving into 2016 and beyond.
With a marketing and automotive background, Antony knows the value of Motorsport marketing when done properly. With this in mind we've created 24 limited edition business packages aimed at maximising business exposure and hospitality as part of the initiative. Priced at only £500, each business will receive:

Born in 1981, despite a late entry into the Motorsport arena, Antony has a natural talent and ability behind the wheel of anything with 4 wheels but has struggled financially (as a lot of talented drivers do) to make the grid in a competitive car. Antony has held his MSA National racing licence since 2010 and is a Member of Institute of Advanced Drivers, is an NKA-qualified Race Director and Stunt Driving Instructor for StuntDrive UK.
Following 5 years of arrive-and-drive karting (of which 95% of all finishes were on the podium) Antony finished as a runner-up in the Castle Combe Adult Karting Championship, winner of Ironman Endurance events, several one-off Grand Prix races and a winner in the Clay Pigeon Summer Loop Endurance Championship. In 2010, Antony was working towards a drive in the inaugural Trofeo Abarth 500 Championship with Redline Racing until 'political' issues took hold and sponsorship was pulled just before the first race.
In 2013, Antony entered his first car race at the local Castle Combe circuit in the CCRC Saloon Car Championship finishing 3rd in Class in his first race in a hired car he'd never driven before qualifying! That set the tone for the rest of 2013 switching between cars and classes until his final hire-car, a Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo gave up it's engine in the 5th round.
In 2014, Antony contested a Hayabusa-turbo powered Radical ProSport in the CCRC Sports Racing Series also at Castle Combe finishing 1st in Class and 3rd overall - again during his first ever drive in the car!
Having taken the last two years 'out' to concentrate on the development of his business activities and for the birth of his own son Brody, Antony is planning a return to full-championship racing in 2016 and hopes to take the RACE:FACE initiative into a full-time in the Renault UK Clio Cup Championship supporting the BTCC with Team Cooksport.

Also based in Bristol and run by current Power Maxed Racing British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) driver Josh Cook and family, Team Cooksport is an exciting new team within the BTCC paddock currently running 3-4 cars within the RenaultSport UK Clio Cup Championship.
Josh, a qualified Motorsport Engineer and runner-up in the UK Clio Cup Championship in 2014 has progressed into the BTCC for 2015 with Power Maxed Racing and achieved his best result to-date with a 3rd place podium spot at Rockingham on Sunday 6th September.
Being based in Bristol and part of both the business and domestic communities, the team is a perfect match for the RACE:FACE initiative and our first supported charity, The Grand Appeal supporting Bristol Children's Hospital.
