John Stainer Playground Project

Aim: The Playground Project aims to transform breaktimes into enriching opportunities for creativity.

The improvement project aims to transform break times into enriching opportunities for creativity, social development, and physical activity. The ideas have come directly from class discussions and pupil feedback, ensuring that the changes reflect what our children truly want and need.

2. What We Are Aiming to Achieve

We are planning to introduce several exciting new play zones, including:

- Rebound area – A dynamic space for active movement.

- Dressing-Up Area – Encouraging imaginative role play and storytelling.

- Music Station – Outdoor instruments for rhythm, sound exploration, and creative

expression.

- Hairdressing Parlour – A fun, social space for children to engage in role-play and 

interaction.

- Renovating the Wendy House

- Storage in each area

3. Benefits and Expected Outcomes

This project will:

- Boost imaginative play and creativity

- Support children’s social and emotional development

- Foster collaboration and teamwork

- Create an inclusive environment where every child feels engaged and valued

- Make playtimes more active, joyful, and purposeful

4. Fundraising Goal and How You Can Help

To bring this vision to life, we are aiming to raise £5,000 by Friday 25 th July 2025.

The FOJS is taking a lead role in supporting the children in achieving their target goal.
