Opening up conversations around sport & endometriosis, seeing what it takes to train for triathlon and sharing some joy while we're at it.
Jodi challenges all preconceived ideas of what it means to be a triathlete. Having barely begun her sporting career, she unintentionally qualifies for the Triathlon World Championships for GB. In the midst of her degree, with little experience or finance, and hormonal health issues impacting her training, we see what unfolds over a year of running, cycling and swimming.

Jodi is a powerful 26 year old woman from Essex, who went from trying out an old road bike in 2020, to qualifying for the 2024 World Triathlon Championships. In the midst of her 5 year degree, a full time ecology role and tackling undiagnosed hormonal health conditions, we see Jodi train for one of the biggest challenges of her life so far.
It feels a poignant time to be sharing Jodi’s story as the research around endometriosis continues to develop, and updates about new tests and medication are making their way into mainstream news outlets. We set out to document a year of running, cycling and swimming, to celebrate how Jodi’s casual love for moving has transformed into an integral part of her life, but to also touch on the lack of discourse around women’s health within athletics.

We are looking to raise at least £2,500 to make this film the best it can possibly be. Sharing Jodi's experience will not only further public awareness of living with hormonal health conditions, but it may also give courage to those in a similar position, or help inform those want to know more. It's suspected that 10% of women worldwide have endometriosis - that’s approximately 190 million people, so it's quite likely that everyone knows someone with the condition, whether they're diagnosed or not.
Whilst we’ve been working on it voluntarily alongside our paid projects for as long as we can, we are now at the final stages of putting the film together and need to fund the post-production.
Any funds which surpass our goal will go towards covering outstanding travel and production costs incurred whilst filming, as well as support this project in reaching more people and improving awareness around endometriosis and sport.

We have raised £4,000 so far for the post-production of our film, and are seeking the final £2,500 to get this project finished.
The total funds will go towards:
If you made it this far, thank you so much for your interest. We are so close to making this film a reality and beyond grateful for any support!
