Raising money for the MS Society to find a cure, and also awareness of the awesomeness of exercise as an effective treatment for the disease
Hello!
I'm on the scrounge for some support! In honour of my impending 40th birthday in December I wanted undertake a significant running challenge to celebrate how lucky I am to be able to enjoy the mountains still 🥰.
You might remember that in 2021 Rich and I along with Chris and Heather, completed the '10 in 10' challenge for the MS society- well there is a version of that event which is a fell running challenge linking all 3 of the routes (they rotate on an annual basis) into a 40 mile 17000ft(!!) course....
The No Cure Always Hope Ultramarathon!
I'm launching my fundraising as we near the end of 'MS Awareness Week' in which the MS Society's theme has been #MSMakesMe.... and for people to focus on how their MS affects them. So here goes, #MSMakesMe:

I'm going to give the ultra route a crack on the 8th July 2023 with the help of some ultrarunning and logistical-expert friends, and I wondered if you might spare a couple of quid to support the challenge and raise money for research into a cure for MS? I'm a bit reluctant to raise money for something so narcissistically close to home- there's plenty more people out there battling much worse across the world. But then I realised this isn't about me and my MS, it's about the generations of people to come- my children or perhaps your nieces, nephews, grandchildren, neighbours kids.... They stand a real chance of never having their lives limited by it.

Thank you
