What is Janky Jukebox?
A group of brave musicians have agreed to cover a song chosen by YOU to raise money for Manchester Cares. You have until the 3rd of May to nominate songs. The musicians will then have a week to create a cover version of whatever song has been chosen for them. You can nominate anything, from the sublime to the ridiculous, from Stairway To Heaven to Saturday Night by Whigfield. Cover versions will be released on the 10th of May.
How are songs chosen?
Every musician has all of the songs nominated for them put into a pot. One nomination will be drawn at random from each musician's pot, so the more nominations you make, the more likely it is that one of your nominations will be chosen!
For example if you nominate 5 songs for The Vanity Project and The Vanity Project get 10 nominations in total, there is a 50% chance that one of your nominations will be chosen for them.
How do I nominate a song?
To nominate a song, donate using the reward levels on this page. The higher the reward level, the more nominations you get! Once you've made your donation, you will be asked to leave a comment on this Crowdfunder page. Make your nominations here - for every nomination, please write the song name, the original artist's name and the musician you'd like to cover this song.
For example - If you select 'nominate 2 songs' by making a donation of £5 or more, you can....
