Jane Gerrard Funeral Fund

Aim
Raise funds towards the cost of a funeral and support Jane's young family afterwards.
Jane’s love for her family, but especially her children was immeasurable. Since 2019, after the complicated birth and the loss of their son Tao, Jane experienced chronic health problems and was often in excruciating pain, unable to walk or climb the stairs, often having to descend on her bottom. It took over two years to get her strength back and she was just beginning to embark on a counselling course, with an aim to support other people battling addictions and mental health issues. Sadly, not long after embarking on the counselling course, she became very unwell and was admitted to hospital, where she was placed into an induced coma to try and help her organs recover. Unfortunately, Jane did not respond to treatment, and she was offered end of life care. Thankfully, St. Luke’s Hospice, Plymouth came forward, offering Jane a bed and caring for her until she passed away peacefully on Sunday 11th August in Rusty’s arms, aged just 45 years old. This has been an emotional roller coaster for the whole family and to say they are devastated at losing her is an understatement.
