About Jamrock
When Jamrock first opened in 2020 on Call Lane in Leeds, our Caribbean eatery quickly started growing in popularity, ranking with impressive five-star reviews, building an excellent reputation.
We have become known for serving the best traditional Caribbean cuisine in town and shaking up classic cocktails including The Blue Mountain, Rum Punch, and Rum on the Beach.
Unfortunately, even though the operation was successful, we ran into some difficulties on the management side which have since been resolved.
What’s next for Jamrock
My name is Oral Blackford and I am the owner of Jamrock.
My aim is to bring back the authentic taste of the Caribbean to the local community and introduce them to the vibrant culture of this part of the world.
Currently, I am in the process of reopening Jamrock at a new location at Kirkgate, Leeds. I have secured a 10-year lease at a new venue and relevant licenses and planning permits. So far, I have invested almost £50,000 but, as a sole investor in the business, I have found myself in a difficult financial position.
I truly believe in the potential of Jamrock brand so I decided to create an opportunity for other parties to get involved and help me relaunch the business in line with the original plan.
This campaign may primarily be of interest to those of you who are experienced investors looking for a well-organised operation to support. Also, it offers rewards tailored to local entrepreneurs looking for a reliable catering company and cost-effective service. Of course, the local foodies and lovers of Caribbean cuisine will find their perks here, too.

As the owner, I ran several catering businesses before which enabled me to build practical, marketing and customer service know-how to get the business off to a successful start.
The purpose of Jamrock is to support both cultural and economic growth in the area. We will provide opportunities for the locals to enjoy themselves and create new job opportunities for those interested in pursuing career in catering.
Our philosophy as a company is simple: “good food, good friends, and good times”.
At Jamrock, every plate of our food is made with love and soul, all for our customers to enjoy together with their friends and family.
Since it first launched, Jamrock has quickly built a great reputation. When the eatery first opened, we gained hundreds of positive reviews on Google and TripAdvisor, to name a few. We were also voted the 11th Best restaurant to eat in Leeds.

Jamrock has also built an active social media presence with approximately 3500 followers on Instagram. Through this platform we not only provide information for our customers but also highlight various initiatives from the Caribbean region. For instance, we used this space to give shoutouts to the likes of Reggae Warriors, a Jamaican rugby team, and Rugby League Jamaica. Our aim is to continue with this trend and spotlight more initiatives that support people of the Caribbean and the diaspora living in the UK.
