Maroon Freedom Fest

Aim

Bringing people together through free Reggae, Ska and local live music, celebrating community spirit, local talent and Luton pride.

Right then beautiful people… I thought why not put on something local for us all to enjoy.

So on Saturday 1st August, we’re bringing a little bit of Reggae, Ska and 2 Tone vibes to The George II in Luton with FREE ENTRY all day.

With Reggaeland happening over in MK, not everybody can afford the ticket prices, travelling, food and everything else that comes with it these days, so I wanted to do something closer to home where people can still come together, chill out, listen to good music and enjoy themselves without breaking the bank.

The best thing about this event is it’s all about local talent and local performances. People from our own town, our own music scene, and our own community coming together to create a proper good vibes day.

There’ll be live music, BBQ, cold drinks, good company and hopefully a bit of sunshine as well.

More than anything, I just want people to feel proud of Luton, proud of local music, and proud of what we can still do when we bring people together.
