Isaiah 53 is going to be the new Christian Bookshop in Bolton (Feb 20 after CLC closes); we need to raise some setting up funds to press go.
Isaiah 53 is the name of the new Christian Bookshop in Bolton which we hope will open in February 2020.
You may not be aware, but the CLC Christian Bookshop is closing at the end of January 2020 and we feel called to continue and expand the ministry locally.
From the early days when George Verwer of OM (Operation Mobilisation) opened the bookshop in 1964, there has been a Christian Bookshop ministry here in Bolton. In 2009, the mission organization, CLC International (UK) took on the shop from Wesley Owen, but due to a change in direction and the fact the YMCA are due to knock the building down in April, the CLC bookshop will close on 30th January.
Our mission statement is:
We are a Christian bookshop, serving God, reaching people with Christian literature and impacting people positively one at a time.

So, here is the really exciting bit: We are moving!
The lease is being agreed and pending the legalities being dealt with, we are hoping to open in the new location in early to mid-February as ‘Isaiah 53 Christian Bookshop’.

The basic startup costs are not too high as we have support from the Kingsway CLC Trust, and some friendly builders, however, to get established as quickly as possible, we do have some financial needs that we would ask kindly for you to pray over and see whether you feel called to partner with us financially as well as prayerfully.
The main things we need funds for are:

We are praying that the funds will come in, in time, to enable this vision to come to fruition, hence why we have set this crowdfunding page up. We look forward to continuing to serve you in the future.
