IPSWICH SRILANKIKA EKAMUTHUWA

RCN 1151973, Warwick

Ipswich Srilankika Ekamuthuwa is a Srilankan social welfare society started by gathering Sinhalese, Tamils and Muslims. As well as the work done in England, the society is investing time, money and labour in Sri Lanka. Our plans include helping under-resourced schools in order to allow children to fulfil their potential academically and in sports; we intend to help in other ways, such as distributing spectacles and school books. The charity is run by the following Trustees : Mr. Udaya Priyashantha Pathiranage, Mr Sampath Kahatapitiya, Mr Zulfikar Mihar and Mr Gayan Sirimanne. Charity’s aims back in 2013 were to promote the benefit of the citizens of United Kingdom and in Sri Lanka by the relief of poverty, sickness and distress. Also to promote Buddhist faith and improve general wellbeing of citizens from disadvantaged communities. Ipswich Srilankika Ekamuthuwa has no political, religious or social agenda and is a small charity thriving to support anyone or any institution which require support financially or any other means.

IPSWICH SRILANKIKA EKAMUTHUWA

Ipswich Srilankika Ekamuthuwa is a Charity organisation that focuses on

education/training, prevention / relief of poverty, overseas aid/famine relief for

disadvantaged communities and religious activities.

As part of our training and overseas aids for 2024, we are looking to launch our

cricket coaching program in Sri Lanka for the under-resourced schools who

cannot afford cricket trainings to develop children’s basic cricketing skills.

The charity cricket coaching program 1st stage will run from 21st – 25th October

2024 in the Southern Province of Sri Lanka.

We believe that in urban areas and in many big schools, cricket is well resourced.

But our initiative will eventually provide villages and under-resourced schools

with some opportunity to support children with great passion for cricket and

improve their chance to perform on the big stage.

1st stage of this program will support young cricketers from two chosen schools

in the southern province of Sri Lanka, which cannot afford basic cricket facilities

and coaching staff for the children below 15yrs of age.
