Developing a small wooded area for the benefit of early years children, their families and the local community.
We want our families to be able to enjoy and experience the delights of the differing seasons, bird song and what we can grow. The nursery has a small wooded area that is a safe space for children and families to explore. Many of our children don't have access to a garden or use an outdoor space, so we'd like to help them see the benefits of being outside in any weather.
Based in inner city Birmingham, a dedicated team of teachers, nursery officers, artists and volunteers will come together to deliver exploratory sessions to inspire and develop experiences to build dens, sweep leaves, create bird houses, mix mud and catch the rain.
Any money raised will contribute to environmental artists fees, equipment and resources as well as outdoor all weather clothing and wellies.
