Enabling Clifton CC to provide a playing venue for all juniors and deliver better quality training, plus a permanent home for our 4th XI.
Clifton Cricket Club, based just outside of Ashbourne in Derbyshire, is a thriving club which provides cricket for boys, girls, women and men from the age of 5 upwards. We cater for all abilities and have an offer for anyone who enjoys the game and would like to get involved.

We are working to raise £13,000 to install a non turf pitch at Osmaston Polo Ground for three key reasons:
1. As the club, in particular the junior section, has grown in recent years we have entered more teams into the Derbyshire Cricket Junior Leagues to provide boys and girls with league fixtures. We have now reached a point whereby we have more teams than we can cater for at our home ground at Chapel Lane, Clifton. With thanks to the Osmaston Polo Ground committee, we have been given permission to install a new non turf pitch which will enable an additional venue for junior fixtures.
2. We regularly have 60 children at junior training on Wednesday evenings. At our home ground we have 2 net lanes and a non turf pitch. We are unable to expand the home ground or install additional facilities on the fully utilised site. The new non turf pitch will enable us to run smaller groups and enhance the quality of training.
3. Our newly formed 4th Team, which plays at the weekend and comprises mainly of junior players, plays its fixtures at a local school. We are indebted to the school for allowing us to do so. However as a club we need the security of knowing we have a permanent home for our team. Plus, as we continue to grow, this will also give us a venue to stage fixtures for a future 5th Team.
