For our sixth project next year we want to create an Inspirational Woodland Garden in Roslin, Midlothian and you can view a video of what will be included HERE.
Individuals, families and community groups can come together in one area to participate in a wide range of activities or just meet and relax. The garden will help people to move away from the insulation and isolation of the digital culture. Through greater socialising and interaction, developing an enjoyment of the outdoors, and participating in a range of fun activities suitable for a wide age range and it will strengthen community bonds and improve overall health and wellbeing.
The garden will be built on a piece of land being donated to us and when fully completed it will include: petanque piste, outdoor table tennis, gym equipment, short mat bowls, community space, regular community market, flower beds, food growing beds, model railway and ebike hire. It will be set around a woodland garden and walk pathway. All the money raised will be used towards creating some of these facilities.
